2011 USASA National Cups

Winter 2010-2011: Entering the USASA National Cups
The United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA) administer the National Cups. See the USASA Website for more information. See also USASA National Cups.

The United States is split into four regions by the USASA and Connecticut falls into Region 1. The four regions will determine a Regional Champion independently from teams representing their states and then all four Regional Champions will meet in a "final four" tournament to determine the National Cup Champions.

2011 National Cup Entry Form. Please forward to any interested participants and have the teams fill out the information accordingly. In the past there were more teams able to participate in the tournament per state, however, this year the USASA has confirmed only one team per state per competition bracket will be admitted. Any interested please fill out the entry form and forward back to me (see contact details at CSSA Cups Committee Chairperson) along with a hardcopy with check mailed to my street address. The CSSA will take applications until the deadline of January 31, 2011 in order to adress any possible conflictions with number of applicants. If conflictions arise there will be a playoff in March 2011. Please feel free to contact me at any time with any concerns.

Thank you,
Jack Testani
CSSA Vice President

2011: Connecticut Teams Entered into the 2011 USASA National Cups
As announced at the CSSA Annual General Meeting in Meriden on 26th February,2011 four Connecticut teams have applied to enter their respective men's national competitions:

Over-30 National Cup: Club Napoli and Danbury United, both from the Shoreline Adult Soccer League. These two teams will have to play-off to represent Connecticut at the Region I level. The play-off is tentatively scheduled to take place on March 27, 2011 on an artificial field, i.e., "Nike Turf," at West Haven High School, CT, in case of inclement weather conditions or field owners are keeping natural grass fields closed after the long, hard winter of 2010-2011.

Open National Cup: Danbury United of the Connecticut Soccer League.

Amateur National Cup: Glastonbury Celtic FC of the Connecticut Soccer League.
