The United States is split into four regions by the USASA and Connecticut falls into Region 1. The four regions will determine a Regional Champion independently from teams representing their states (at least two teams per state, possibly up to four depending on the state and the region) and then all four Regional Champions will meet in a "final four" tournament to determine the National Cup Champions.

Please be advised of the following drop-dead deadline dates for the CSSA to resolve a "state champion" to represent Connecticut in the various National Cups:

| Amateur Cup | April 11, 2010 |
| Under-23 Cup | June 6, 2010 |
More details about deadline dates and when certain rounds of the competition will be played are located HERE. Per that Webpage, the latest date to submit Team entry forms for all Cups other than under 23 will be February 28, 2010.
If your team intends to enter the 2010 National Cup as Connecticut's representative in one of the five categories list above, please contact the CSSA Cups Committee Chairperson at your earliest convenience. Any delay will negate your chances of being allowed to participate in a Connecticut tournament to determine the CSSA's representative teams before the dates given above. The entry deadline to the CSSA is January 31, 2010.
An application/entry form should be available on the USASA Website. At this time of writing (13-Dec-2009) it, and other useful documents, are located HERE. Please be aware, however, that at this time of writing the Microsoft Word entry form the USASA have at that link is for the 2009 National Cup. Please enquire with the USASA for the latest entry form, or verify with the USASA if you may use the older form, editing out "2008-2009" and replacing with "2009-2010" and also verify their latest entry fees and bonds (they could be the same for 2010, but be advised to double-check).

a) Danbury United are presented in both the Men's Open Cup and the Men's Over-30 Cup.
b) Stamford Olympia are in the Men's Open Cup.
c) Bristol Italians are in the Men's Over-30 Cup.
d) Club Napoli (North Branford) are in the Men's Over-30 Cup.
The Men's Open teams are from the Connecticut Soccer League (CSL).
The Men's Over-30 teams are from the Shoreline Adult Soccer League (SASL).
